Frequently asked questions

Where will the photographic session take place?

The photoshoot takes place in the comfort of your family home or at a location you feel will bring out the best of your child. At home kids are a lot more relaxed, the familiar environment helps them be at ease with the camera and soon they may even forget it's there.

For newborn and babies, I will set up a small studio corner in one of the rooms and we can take as long as it's needed until we get the right shots. Being at home means easy nappy changes and a place to sleep when it all gets too much and it's time to take a little rest.

Another option is to go to the local park, riverside or any other location that feels special to you and the kids. Activities like walking the dog, kicking a ball or just playing in the garden are great for spontaneous and candid pictures.

How long will it take?

There is no set time limit for your session. We will take as long as it is needed until we are all happy with the results. Younger children normally get tired in a few hours so I make sure we make the most of our first hour or two together.

It is a good idea to organise the shoot in the morning when the kids are full of energy and at their most playful. There will be plenty of time for feeding, nappy changes etc. to let the child take a break and not feel rushed.

What happens after the photoshoot?

Once we're all happy with the session, I'll go home, process the images and then will email you a link to your personal online gallery so that you and your family can have a look and decide on your favourites. Processing the images takes 3-5 days and once you've made a selection your order will generally take 7- 10 days depending on your choice of prints and books.

Can I order additional prints and books at a later date?

That's not a problem. I keep all images securely stored on my hard disk, so just get in touch with any further order enquiries.
