Newborn photography in Balham

Newborn photography takes a lot of patience and last minute improvisation. Having a general plan for the session helps but you have to be prepared to change direction at any time and work around the little model and his or her mood.  

This little girl stayed awake for most of her photoshoot and just didn’t want to miss all the fun in front of the camera. And just as we though we’d had enough pictures and should wrap up the session, there she was,  fast asleep.

I like including family items on some of the pictures as it makes for a very personal experience to my clients and an image, special to them. This little girl’s dad was a chef and I just knew adding to the image props like a chef’s hat and a couple of books would make a fun shot. It is already a favourite of mine!
